This hub provides information and links to appropriate laws and regulations pertaining to defence procurement, industrial cooperation, industry security and in a broader sense, multinational cooperation.
Strategic partnerships
The Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (NDMA) is an important partner for Norwegian industry. The Defence White Paper 38 stipulates that the Norwegian Armed Forces and Norwegian defence industry are strategic partners.
The Norwegian Armed Forces are tasked with contributing to increased national economic growth and a competitive industry. The Defence industry strives to ensure the Armed Forces has sufficient access to competence, material (armaments) and services.
NDMA has a structured dialogue with Norwegian industry on several levels. For instance, regular meetings or "dialogue forums" between NDMA and the Defence and Security Industry Association (FSi), trade shows organized by industry and by the Ministry of Defence with Industry.
Regulation for Norwegian Military Airworthiness (RMA)
The Commanding Officer, NDMA Air Systems Division, is the Norwegian Military Airworthiness Authority, and has published Regulation for Norwegian Military Airworthiness (RMA) with requirements for industry; for release to service; and for the continuing airworthiness of Norwegian military aircraft. The requirements are mainly in accordance with the common EMAR requirement set.
